Introduction
Java and 3D graphics have traditionally never been considered a compatible match. However, over the past couple of years a number of APIs have emerged which give Java users the possibility of developing 3D applications. Most notable are Sun's own Java3D API and JOGL (Java OpenGL). Whilst Java3D maps OpenGL functionality onto the object-oriented paradigm, JOGL is essentially a wrapper library that allows OpenGL to be used in Java.
During the 45min session an introduction to both these API's is given together with a number of practical examples.
