The current distribution poms we deliver as part of the full distro seem to be missing dependencies for runtime. This circumvents users generating the IDE config files using Maven and requires all kinds of workarounds.

Which POM files are you talking about here? The examples?

Yes, this is for the examples. There is a series of ugly steps users have to follow because of this, which Puneet has kindly documented. I would consider this a blocker for 2.1.

If we implement MULE-3844 this issue can be closed as the dependency list will be the same for the full distribution and the reactor build.
